What do you want to see about it? I can go over there with a real camera and take some better pictures.

Since I have a Power Glide that is going on a Bullet car that I am building, I'll take some detailed pics of the assembly and how to break in the diff gears. I'll also show the slipper although it is nothing more than the diff rings off of the 6 gear. I'm still slowly picking up parts for this car and need to get a couple of things anodized but I can potentially get some pics.

Wow,this brings back a lot of memories. I used to work/race at the old Roadrunner RC in Houston. I remember Barry when he was just starting out with his shop. It was a tiny place, but I admired the fact he was chasing his passion for design, instead of just a retail hobby shop. But those days were when the RC car hobby was really taking off. I also remember Mier's place just down the street from there, and it was a "rivalry" between the owners, to say the least. Ed Ricks owned Roadrunner, and I think he started mostly due to a disatisfaction with Mier's brother, Isaac (who owned a shop on the other side of town.)
Anyway, Barry raced pretty regular in Houston, and it was cool to see what he would come up with.
Thanks for posting these.

I remember you Russ although I'm sure you wouldn't remember me if you saw me. I was one of those endless numbers of kids who was always there. I often raced with Barry and still see him often. My best rc memories are from race nights at Roadrunner. I wish someone had video of some of the off road races back then. I've only seen a few oval vids.

I remember a lot of people, at least most faces. Roadrunner was the last time I actually raced on a dirt track. After I left there, and spent the next 20 years in the Navy, I finally settled in Florida. Now I'm looking to put together an old RC10 to race oval again...I miss the old days. Tell Barry I said hello next time you see him.

Some ingesting info here. Did Meir ever sell M&M? Last I hard he was still there, but it has been a while since I've been down there. How did the deal go between Meir and Barry Raborn go? My understanding is that they were partners, but later Meir bought him out. Last time I talked to Meir about it, which was a few years ago now, he told me he had the leftover stock of Raborn Racing. I talked to him about getting some Invencer parts and he said he could get them for me. Then life happened and I never got around to asking him about it. I have seen him since then, but it was never"a good time"to ask.If you know Meir you probably know what I mean by that.

Meir sold MM last year and moved to Florida. The shop still exists and is going strong. He did have some Raborn pieces but he took them with him. Barry owns an Orthotics company and is huge into rc airplanes. If you do a search for Barry Raborn on youtube you'll find videos of him flying. You should see his plane collection! He does have lots of spare parts for the Invencer lying around if you need them. I know he has a box full of arms and steering racks. I don't think he has any chassis though. Maybe one but I doubt he'll get rid of it. I'm sure he'd let me measure it and draw it up though so they could be remade if necessary. If he has any tires left, and I don't know that he does, they would be all dried out and shrunk.

A slight update to this thread. I've been slowly working on acquiring and 3D modeling as much of the old Bullet and Raborn lines as possible. Barry has lots of leftover Invencer parts and is getting the rest of them, which I understand is a substantial amount, from Mier. We are going to organize and catalog everything and see how many complete cars can be made again. There are boxes of raw parts. There could be a neat re-release of the Invencer at some point in the future. We'll see. Any of the chassis could probably be resold if requested. This is fun!

Here's a link to the thread where I am modeling the Invencer in 3D. It'll be a build thread in the end as well.

I picked everything up. I was expecting to get enough parts for a few cars. What I got was enough for a few hundred! At least it looks that way. There are probably two dozen chassis but those I can have remade anyways. There are hundreds of any plastic parts. Hundreds of axles. It's amazing. There are some bodies left. About a half dozen original S&K Airs truck bodies and about a dozen car bodies. This stuff is going to take a long long time to go through.

I'm still floored by what's here. Here's a taste of it. Keep in mind this is only what I got from Meir. Barry still has a bunch of stuff. Probably not this much though. There are a few Invencer things that I don't see too many of such as shocks and diff parts. There are actually 67 main chassis plates. I can still have those made though. They might be there but I haven't been through them all. I also have all of the marketing materials and the proofs for them. I have original receipts for parts, original decal artwork and proofs. I have the original instruction manual proofs, pictures, and negatives. I've got price lists, header cards, boxes of business cards, and even the original shop rubber letter address stamp. This is going to take a LONG time to go through!
