Finally found a 410K

Post by Momo5 »

I'm not really into vintage electronics, but I owned a Tekin 410K years ago. Stupid me traded it away, but I finally found one at a decent price.

I had one of these BITD, they were really cool. I have a custom heatsink that my dad CNC'ed at work that we bolted to the top-deck of a pro/boss-cat (cant remember which) which then bolted to the 410K as they had threaded holes underneath and plastic screws.

I'll have to get a picture of it...

I still have both of my early ( no external switch ) 410k's, great unit but they used to shut off when they built up static from racing pancars. It was fun to hold the brakes for 5 arcs and then turn the radio off, shutting the esc down from the drivers stand at the races end though!

Here is the heatsink I was talking about. It sat on the top deck, hence the tunnel in the middle. Seemed to work really well and definitely helped to keep it cooler.
