It sounds to me like a bit of a tall tale.. (otherwise known as BS)

It does make you wonder if they had Billy the blind apprentice working on it, or if the original tech that was doing the repairs left the company part way through the repair, and none of the others knew how to fix what he had done..

I am happy to hear that it all worked out for you in the end..

Hi Dan,

I am sorry to hear what happened, I would be very angry as well!

I have a funny TRUE story to cheer you up.

I bought a computer motherboard from a local computer store.

Motherboard turned out to be faulty, he said he can't test it as he doesn't have another processor.

Not my problem, Mate! He said he can send to supplier for testing if it is not faulty I have to pay plus

freight.

Yeah, sure it will come back and I will have to pay.

I thought about it and said no problem, see you later.

Now the funny part,

The board had a 5 year warranty, so with my receipt I took it back with 2 days warranty left.

I took my friend with me and said go into the shop first pretend to be a customer.

So I went in and said I would like warranty on this board, here is my receipt!

Man you should have seen this Guys face he had a absolute fit, he remembered me from last time!

I thought he was going to collapse, his face went red then purple.

Screaming and absolutely losing the plot, he said you can't bring a board back after 5 years with 2

days warranty left.

I said Bullshit, I have a receipt I want my warranty, Mate.

I had my back up and was ready for an argument, eventually he lost all steam and took the board.

My friend thought it was the funniest thing he had ever seen!

Now the next funny part,

I found out he was closing the store.

Guess what Dave did?

Store was to close at 5, I went in late the same afternoon and said to him where's my motherboard,

Mate!

Well he had another fit, went red in the face again followed by purple and started screaming again.

Don't worry he was a young guy, we must have argued for at 20 minutes.

I never got my motherboard.

But boy I got satisfaction.

I made sure I got my moneys worth!

Dan, I hope this made you laugh!

Cheers, Dave. :)
