Can anyone tell me if the Novak 1 came with heat sinks please? The kind that slip on over the ones molded in the case?

Too bad that one didn't have them (maybe the case wouldn't be as heat warped).
Early on I believe you had to purchase the Heat Sinks separately. Not really needed for 1/12 but a must for 1/10 Off-Road.

Almost made that auction worth buying

Heat sinks were an optional part - not needed for 12th scale but needed for 10th off road. Two (black) heat sinks - one longer one for most of the FETs, a smaller one for the single brake FET on the right.

I have an old Novak 4 (not a T4) speed control that is mint that I wanna put in my old Hot Trick car... I don't recall the specs on it.. How many turns can I go down to safely??

If you are gonna run old batteries like 1200's or 1400's and maybe 1700's a 16 turn should be fine, but if you are going to use newer batteries with 3000+ mah only use a stock motor cuz it'll get quite hot after...

wel lthis came in a buggy i purchased and i can't finish the modle name

it says NOVAK **1x not sure what that is it has 2 rows of heat sinks . the motor leads & power leads come out the right sid of the case & the switch and reciever plug are at...

On the Novak website there is a timeline and on that it is identified as the NESC-1X which was made up to 1988. Under the downloads you can get the manual, here it is:

those black magic motors are no joke. i remember i had a couple, and i also remember writing off two rc12l's and a rc10l with them. it was like putting a v12 in a gokart.

How hot a motor you guys think I can run on that esc that comes in alot of the re-re kits before it lets the smoke out?

ive seen people running the 19t trinity komodo conservativley geared. i ran it with my hotshot re-re for a while with the 17t pinion and it worked just fine. didnt get too hot on me, neither the motor or esc.

I've been out of the hobby for over a decade, I'd like to get my Clodbuster going again. Currently it uses a Novak Super Rooseter with two modified motors. I hated the run time it use to have, just a few minutes.

Are there any esc's available that...

I ended up picking up the one everybody recommended... I have an old pair of Speed works Monster mash motors that I may use. A less modified old school truck perhaps.

I use to have more motors, but lost some stuff when my basement flooded.

How many ever ran one one or even heard of one? I had it in my Hot trick Frog back in the 80's. Still works too (I think) lol. Made in the USA too

I still have a 500 (no brake). I took it apart to try and add brakes, but never did. Ran great for an inexpensive basher back then.
