2 very cool reedy motors

Post by hugger19 »

here is a quick run down on both motors from the selller:
#1. This is a VINTAGE TEAM ASSOCIATED REEDY MODIFIED GREEN LABEL Gold Dot 19 Turn Double FACTORY TEAM MOTOR. This was one of the first motors I received from Mike Reedy. This motor was hand built by Mike Reedy for me and hand delivered at a race. I received it from Mike Reedy back when I was a factory driver for them back in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
#2. This is a VINTAGE TEAM ASSOCIATED REEDY MODIFIED GREEN LABEL SILVER STAR 20 TURN QUAD FACTORY TEAM MOTOR. This was one of the first motors I received from Mike Reedy. This motor was hand built by Mike Reedy for me and hand delivered at a race. I received it from Mike Reedy back when I was a factory driver for them back in the late 80’s/early 90’s. I was a factory driver from 1986-1992 for Team Associated, Reedy Modifieds, Yokomo, Novak Electronics, Airtronics, Paragon Racing Products, Buds Racing Products and Du-Mor R/C. During that time, I had a lot of success including 1990 U.S. Indoor Championships (Cleveland) 1st place in 1/12 scale Modified, 1991 Triple Crown Winner 1/12 scale Modified, 1989 Canadian Indoor Championships 1st place in 1/12 scale Modified, 15+ R.O.A.R. Nationals A Main Finals in 1/10 2wd/4wd and 1/12 Modified, 4 Worlds appearances (B-Mains for all) and 30+ Region 1 titles in 1/10 and 1/12 scales.
P.S. I also shipped you (2) sets of new full motor brushes for you to change out whenever you need them. They are actually in a bag from Mike Reedy that is hand written with the part number on it. I hope you enjoy. Have a great day.

Mike may have built 1000s but the ones he gave to the top drivers were more efficient, more torque and more top end so a level above the majority made. They were balanced to perfection and have met him and have also had him work on standard shelf motors as well but do have a couple he made as well and one is from Michael Erbert as well and he is a top notch chap who was a top class driver and he heard of my replica so supplied me it and fitted in my Masami replica 91 RC10 proto along with a team spec esc. Plus the dresser shows a substantial change in power drainage compared to normal. Those two motors youve shown are like gold dust and to get those shows (plus my modified Mr seies motors) shows how good a driver he was for Mike to do that. Mike had some odd ways of doing things but was really nice and also the titles say it more than anything else.
