I love my vintage cars but I do run modern cars. I feel there is a place for modern cars here. As time goes on, you forget all sorts of things. Even the B4 has had many running changes in parts. In 25 years will you remember that first gen small bumper??? If I write it down now I know I will! Get my point? When I started the 25 Years of the RC10 thread it was the 25th anniversary. Time goes on and now five years have gone, it's now the 30th!

IMO vintage for an RC Car should be 10 years or older!

Good point, one day I do plan on collecting past the "gold pan " era, would be good to know any kind of rolling changes on newer cars/trucks as well

I don't think there should be a sub-forum for modern stuff.

As stated above, there are plenty of other sites on the 'web for all that...

Maybe there should be a brief quiz that new members have to pass :?:
1) What is a "six gear"?
2) Where (what street) were the earliest RC10's shipped from?
3) Who won the 1985 IFMAR Off-Road 2wd World Championship?
4) Who is famous for the "team Moo" paint schemes?
5) What color is an original RC10 World's Car chassis?

Technically you pull the rubber plug out of the trans case and roll the truck forward till you see the adjustment hole in the gear. Once you see it hold the spur gear and roll the truck till you see the two set screws. Look for the angled one and only adjust that one. If you loosen the one that is straight you'll cause all sorts of problems.

Screw in for later shifts
Screw out for earlier shifts
