Speaking of on the shelf... I had no choice but to paint the manual body for my shelfer. I'm headed to California for a vacay during the beginning of May. It's only appropriate that I swing into Associated and have Tim and maybe some others sign it.

Can't wait to get my re-re runner going too.
Did you get anything signed??

Hey Stu,
Yup, Rod got some things signed for me

And a random CE manual art that I did in green and pink instead of orange and pink. That shell is on a restored graphite car.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of how many of these were built? And how many got sold?

Still can't decide whether to buy a 2nd to keep in the box, but if most folks have already done this, they aren't going to appreciate much!

I am not sure what they are "selling" for but there are some listed on ebay for crazy numbers.
The Fox, Falcon, 9 RC10s black/gold/graph, Optima Mid SE EXT, Losi XXXT, B3, B4, 3 T4s, Evader BX, Evader ST, Buggy Champ '09, Sand Scorcher '10, RC10T, RC10DS

kink wrote:How about a box art car but done in shades of black, white and grey, to mimic the look of the original magazine adverts (when printed in b&w). You could even use metallics, ie gunmetal, silver etc. Might be a cool experiment. Maybe even anodise the chassis to match the whole monotone look.
I used a gray color (since discontinued), while using the stock vintage stickers. I like it. I think some variation of this theme will be on my next few bodies as well. This car is actually an original 1992 RC10T, but figured I'd show you the "new" color with the old stickers.

Just wondered- have the availability of these kits dried up now? I haven't been able to do much RC stuff this year, but I had a quick search and it seems there aren't any left with UK sellers now- apart from the Worlds kit.

I can still find a re-re Worlds car in hobby shops from time to time. Not many left out there, but here in Phoenix you could still find one.

The original re-re cars are long gone, and have been for some time.

I am so late to the party. I need to get out of the Losi forum more often but I just bought a re-re Worlds. Too cool to pass up turning the clock back to 1993.

I read a ton of this thread but unclear was it ever confirmed how many re-re classic and World's were produced and when production stopped?

A year ago at this time it was still somewhat easy to find a re-re Worlds car, but now I only know of one kit left at a hobby shop here in Phoenix, the rest are gone. So I don't know what the numbers are, but it's slim pickin's now.

I wonder why I never see them in hobby shops anymore? Odd. Maybe it's a slow mover? The last one I saw had a faded price tag, indicating it had been around for a while.
