Body all painted up, with much thanks to Vintage AE (Anthony)! Stickit stickers were awesome, albeit the design of the Airtronics and JConcepts stickers were slightly different than Kinwald's.

Time for life on the shelf!

Does anyone know the weight of those brass 'weights' in Kinwald's World's Car ReRe ?
- I see that this replica build uses two 10g weights on each side, is that the same as Kinwald's car?

And importantly, what handling characteristic will these weights change???
i.e. why use weights in that particular spot?

Thanks for any further knowledge! :) !

those 8-32 nuts are small pattern, could be trinity. very hard to find small pattern 8-32 nuts, especially in aluminum, so there can't be too many vendors.

I like the detail on all the builds on this site! I'll weigh in on the nuts; they look like they have a taper at the top to hold a nylock insert and they are small pattern as has been pointed out. My guess would be that Brian tapped out a 4-40 nut to 8-32 as they match the other 4-40 nuts on the car. I have done this before, it's pretty easy to hold a nut in a socket while you tap it. Try a 1/8 drill bit before the tap.

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply. I think I cut about a 1/4" off the sides. Weight loss, negligible. It looks cool, and the body doesn't rub on the edges as much.

I ended up drilling and tapping some 4-40 nuts. I'll post up some pics when I get home this weekend. They match exactly now.
