rc10 world's re release

Post by Gastruckracer14 »

I was kicking the idea around about buying the world's re release car. I've heard good things and bad things about it. What's y'alls opinion on the car and is it worth the buy?

While there have been some common problems with a few of the parts in this kit, most are relatively minor and easy to correct

Assuming you're comfortable with that, I think it's a pretty good buy considering current market pricing

I would agree, being able to pick it up under $200 will give you a good platform to mess with. They got some things wrong, but for the most part it's a great kit.

I'd plan on buying a 6565 case and 6570 idler for your build, the top shaft issues have become pretty uncommon and only a couple reports of cva issues.

My kit I recently received had a bad layshaft. A replacement B4 one has sorted it out. I also got bearings for the steering bellcranks as the bushings were very stiff. The bellcranks are free now, but a little sloppy perhaps.

Thanks you guys for all the great feedback. I'm going to get one because it is a great price and the minor kit faults don't bother me especially since the problems are correctable.

Psst! Associated is aware of the issues and will take care of you if you contact them. Customer service has been great every time I have contacted them. :D

Associated customer service was good to me, as well

My kit came with an incorrectly machined top shaft and they sent me a free replacement

If you do get the kit, try to save your receipt and/or a copy of your proof of purchase just in case

Oh yeah they're awesome about custom service. When I built my new t5m they replaced a few items for me with no hesitation. Will always run AE vehicles for the value, quality and the way they take care of us racers.
