Is anybody making precut chassis protectors for these still? Jconcepts did for awhile or atleast was going to, but I can't find any anywhere. The local track I'm going to run this car on is outside and can be pretty rough on cars at times.
Mattox designs will do RC10 chassis, just pick your design and email him about RC10. StickersMakeYouFaster.com

I have a couple. There are other people out there making them as well.

Was able to get everything all wired up and pretty much ready to go. Using a Dean's for the battery for now so I can run a couple of Onyx packs that I have until I can buy some new, decent race packs. :D

Now I need to glue up some tires and get the body done.

Just about done with this build, hoping to hit the track with it this week for some test -n- tune. I ended up screwing up the kit body, by painting it some colors that I did not like, so I used a Viper body that I had. I wanted close to box art, but wasn't expecting perfection. Did the drips by hand with masking tape and a hobby knife, all rattle can paint as well. 8)

Like above I'm thinking it's for the post on the original worlds car where it used the bellcranks for a mount.

I ended up screwing up the kit body as well but it was because I didn't mask it as well as I thought. Still works for a beater body. I have one on order at the LHS as soon as it's not on backorder. Yours looks great and I originally wanted to do it like the box art but after porking the first one I think I'm going with the blue and orange gulf colors.
When in doubt, throttle out. It may not help the situation but it will end the suspense

The paint job on the kit body actually came out pretty good, it's just the colors, I don't know what I was thinking... I also followed the cut lines and ended up trimming the wing by the shocks, which doesn't need to happen. I'll either use it for one of my wife's RC cars or sell it to someone that wants it more than I do...

Gotta second that. Looks good from my point of view...but I hit my teens in the 80's when different colors were becoming mainstream 8)

Thanks guys, I was in my teens in the 80's as well and these colors would have probably been mainstream. The purple is a metallic and I wanted it darker and it usually is, but the white backer lightened it up. Also the fluorescent pink ended up bleeding through the white, making that "pinkish" too.

OK, so I forgot to install the sensor cable!

Sensor cable installed, also changed out the battery wires for ones a little longer and put some Reedy low profile 4mm bullets on them to plug into the new Reedy lipo packs I have coming.

Then time for some fun, gluing up some Panther Rattler clay compound tires for the front and rear, with AKA foams.

It's FINALLY done and ready to hit the track!

How are the Panther clay tires at your track? I see you put on the Rattler 2, it has more pins in the center than then standard Rattler.

They worked extremely well, the only issue is they get a little expensive when buying tires and separate foams. The tires need to break in a bit, then they come around nicely. I was even running them on my 2wd SCT and T4.2, this was back in Colorado at the indoor clay tracks there. Before we moved back to FL, on my B5M I had switched over the the Proline Electrons, VTR style since they came with the better foams. I haven't tried the Panthers here in FL at the track in Cocoa yet, the clay is so hard packed there they run slicks. I think these will work OK though.
