Since it was taking forever and a day for them to ship my worlds re-re I picked up a set of them up at the LHS. I installed the soft ones on the front and the medium in the rear with 30w F and 35w R. They are working amazingly well.
I can drop the car with the battery in it from waist high and it won't slap at all. The static ride is set with the rear bones flat and the chassis level with the kit springs. I don't have an amazing amount of time on the car but I don't see any evidence that's it's bottoming out. I do want to take it to the local outdoor track and see how it does.
When in doubt, throttle out. It may not help the situation but it will end the suspense
Inspect the shock pistons if you are building a recent re-re Schumacher. The pistons below came with my Cougars, but it most likely applies to the Pro CAT as well. Others on the FB group have had similar issues. I didn't have any bad pistons with my...
Hello everyone. I've been mostly out of the rc scene for a year or so. I have decided to get back into it and have been cleaning up and gathering. Anyways, I need to put together a few pairs of shocks. One set for a buggy that I want to put back...

Never tried the jump jets, the RPM pistons do work and were used by several team drivers in secret...I think the oval racers had a better feel for them as it is a little hard to see enough of a difference on an off road car and most would give up...
I'm looking for a thread there some one wrote about different shock pistons diameters, but I can't find it... :?

I don't know the thread you're looking for but if you need some measurements for older shocks check out the scanned Dec. 1990 issue of RCCA. There's an article in it with dimensions for the popular shocks that were used back then.
Does anyone know what the size of the original pistons in the JRX Pro were? Were they a two hole piston? Anybody know the size of the holes? I have the newer threaded shocks on my build with the newer shock pistons / springs and am trying to find a...

Red springs may be a little heavy :)
Maybe one (or more) of the guys who ran the VoNats can chime in with their set up for a starting point for ya.
Check here (Brandon G) has run a JRX a few times in the VoNats...
thought id share this buggy with you guys, it is the mrp stage 2 and ive found out they are very rare, it certainly is different looking: features gold anodised t-6 chassis, ball diff, alloy shocks (blue front, red back  ) virgin nylon suspension...

OK I give up... I really need help setting up the shocks in my Procat. It's been running well (transmission's holding up and even raced it a bit at Stotfold) but I can't seem to get it to handle or land right. I'm probably fighting a losing battle...

Thanks Jeff, I'll drill them out to 1.1mm and try 35wt. The droop is about 33mm and the ride height about 23mm, is that comparable with other CATs or buggies? Don't forget I'm not using the original dampers or springs.
