Took the tranny apart and installed into a 1991 stealth case. Still some play in the top shaft. Has to be sub standard bearings... I can live with it so I put it back in the 10T case I purchased aftermarket for the Re-Re. Top shaft runout was fine too..

Spur wobbles like a b!t@h still. Thing is just garbage. Going to try a Kimbrough aftermarket gear and see what happens....after we burn up the stock one.

I love the car but there are some quality issues I've noticed throughout the build, this being the main one.

Thanks for everyone's input.

I took a short video of my original RC10 graphite w installed after stealth transmission from that era, 1990??? It has a Robinson Racing 84T spur installed. Thing rolls smooth as a Swiss watch. It's silly.

I'd post the video if I knew how.

Was rebuilding the trans in my B2 yesterday and remembered reading this thread. I too had a slight wobble in my spur gear (updated top with the B4). I never had an issue running it with the wobble, but it was bothering me. After checking everything a million times, I noticed the spring was not square. This was causing uneven pressure on the slipper assembly and the wobble. I replaced the spring with a new one, that is square, and the wobble went away. You can see in the picture how the spring leans to the right, ever so slightly.
