Coming back with a vengence! A&L trailing arm content!

Post by Zac_F71 »

Well guys I took a hiatus from RC's and SOLD EVERYTHING but my tools/charger - well now I'm back LOL..

Bought a used RERE World's that needs a refresh - and splurged on a re-released A&L C2 trailing arm chassis kit for it! (miss my first trailing arm RC10 that I never got to run) - this one will be run I promise!

Already bought the chassis kit from Jeff, and had him drill it for a stealth trans, and B5M wing mounts before shipping it out! I have the setup pretty well planned out - only things I'm stuck on is wheels/tires, and electronics (minus radio will be FlySky 2.4) .

Stuck on the wheels/tires and electronics -
JC retro setup (bought cause it's all discontinued)
AE 2.2 with modern tires (waiting to buy)

vintage or modern electronics -
brushless setup with a 13.5t or so setup
Novak or Tekin race ESC with a 12t-15t mod
2s lipo and a Flysky 2.4 is only for sure electronics

MAN are parts getting harder to find!

Got coming -
A&L black chassis/trailing arm kit - drilled for stealth trans/B5 wing mounts
AE Viper body
AE 75t spur
AE B3 wing buttons (since I can't find Trinity blue buttons)
AE RC10 GT aluminum front tube mounts
B44.2 9911 cvd bones (have 1 new one so had to buy 1 nip)
Lots of AE hardware (blue aluminum)
DTX aluminum 19mm servo arm (blue)
DTX 3/16" x 5/16" front wheel bearings
DTX 3/16" x 3/8" rear axle bearings (for cvd's!)
JC Hazard 1.9/1.7 black wheels
JC Double Dee's 1.7's
JC Rips 1.9's
JC B5 Stabilizer wings (2 wings - one for B5 mount and 1 for wire mount)
Lunsford turnbuckles (World's kit is $2 cheaper than buying them in pairs for the front)
RPM rod ends (blue)
Trinity style repop aluminum steering rack

Sorry no actual pics yet! Going to wait til it all gets here and post pics as I go..

Teaser of the basic look I'm going for!

Are you sure duratrax makes a 3/16 x 3/8 flanged bearing?

I searched eBay and the ones I found were from rcboys

Ok cool. That's a pretty odd bearing so I wanted to make sure.

Well priced a Turnigy 75amp Trackstar turbo ESC, 13.5t stock spec motor, program card, and Turnigy brushless servo at $133 shipped

A vintage ESC/motor, and servo will be about the same I imagine..
