I just got a Blackfoot over the weekend from my future father-in-law...

Here's the best part....

FOR FREE!

I had my RC10CE and my Duratrax Raze over at their house for the holiday weekend and he and I got to talking about R/C and next thing you know we're cleaning out his shed and whammo! Tamiya Blackfoot in decent condition. All it needs is an ESC.

How cool is that?

I think I'll clean it up really good, make sure everything is a-ok as far as being a runner, slap a new ESC in it and keep it there at their house for the grandkids to play with when they're there.

The Chris Chianelli is a character, that's for sure. Thanks for posting, I love these old magazine reviews. Are there any ones out there that detail my beloved Lunch Box?

Erich, I'm sensing through that tough Associated exterior you have a soft ineer love for Tamiya trucks.

LOL! Ehh there'll always be a soft spot for the T team in my heart... as should be in everyone that had one as their first car. I was actually more partial to the Mudblaster. HEHE.

Soooo things are a little quiet at work for a bit so i'm gonna try to pull a couple magazines a day and find something interesting to scan so keep your eyes out for more.

Mud Blaster! I'd love to restore one as soon as I'm done with my current RC10 project.

I came by my Blackfoot in the most roundabout way. I bought two sets of tecnacraft wheels from a shop. I didn't have anything for them to go on so I set out to build a Monster Beetle. I had about all the new parts for the chassis plus a lot of nice hop ups and was on the lookout for a body set. Then I came across a New built Monster Beetle with an untouched body set and to top it off it had a smokin BIN price. So here I was left with an almost complete chassis of parts. I thought about selling them off to recoup my money spent on the new built but then it hit me to build a Blackfoot. So I found a new Blackfoot body set and built it up using a whole slew of aftermarket goodies. Then one day while surfing ePay I found a New built CCP chrome chassis. I swooped that up and built what you see below.
