Battery braid

Post by sandkil »

Hey guys,
I need your help. Trying to find battery braid for upcoming battery pack build. Seems like braid is a thing of the past. I just can’t find any.
Do you have any ideas were to source 1/4” 6x1mm braid or similar?

Isn’t it just desoldering braid? Should be really common?!

I remember building packs like that... so much easier than using bars. :D

I may have a piece of the old school heavy duty battery braid. I'll check...

I was able to find it! The braid is 10" long, 1/4" wide, 0.045" thick. Real heavy duty stuff. I don't remember the RC brand it was. I used some building Clod Buster battery packs and slot car controllers a long time ago.

Now we are talking. Emm.. You do not happen to have one more of those 10" braids?
My intentions are to build two 8-cell battery packs. That equals 9 pcs of braid with a length of just over an inch per pack.

Much appreciated Lonestar. I will get back to you on that offer if no braid is to be found.
