Its AWSUME to see something in development stages.Especially something you have used for years and enjoyed so much.Im good with coming up with the ideas and different styling but im not worth a crap at doing the measurements its always trial and error with me lol.You got to admire the engineering and the amount of time he invested in it.Thanks for all the years of fun guy.Don

Nice to see these pictures.

Looks like the original prototype B2 chassis is actually shown alongside prototype B3 parts. Longer arms, castor blocks, spindles, 3 hole front shock tower and rear hub carriers. Neat to see!

In 2006 I had a chance to tour the Associated location on Cadillac Ave just before they moved. During the tour Curtis was machining some nylon parts. Understandingly, they were all covert and discreet about it! Much Later I recognised them on the TC5. That was cool!

Can anyone tell me how the wing was held on, on the checkered car? There does not appear to be any wing buttons? Was it just taped on for photos?

I am not sure if anyone has posted this car prior, but would love to see someone take this on as a replica. This is a picture of Curtis Husting's 1985 World's Warm-up RC10 Buggy raced at what was known as "The 1985 Cabin Fever Break-out Race" at an indoor track in Southern California.
Notice the round side window he has on this one, looks kinda cool.
I may try and make one myself as I already have the metallized wheels (chrome plated nylon), but that body paint looks tough.

This thread is another home run! I've been racing these cars since '84, But never got a chance to see the cool prototype stuff. This is like heaven to me!

Nah, easy one. All straight lines, no compound curves up the sides... wouldn't be much of a problem at all. But that window?

you could do it in warmed up 1/8" blueline tape or just get yinyl and a steady hand (or artists stencil)... Those curved windows aren't that bad...

nah, you make a template out of cardboard, lay tape over it, then cut it out along the edge, and whala, a nice window cutout. throw tape on the opposite side of the template cut it out, and you have a mirror image.....

The window is easy... just really ugly.
