I'm more worried in general about using a Rocky in this setup, but we already had this conversation ;)
OK thank you for confirming.

Don't worry :)
My 6 yo boy is amazingly good and does very few mistakes, to my biggest surprise. Really.
His brother, 4yo, is not yet interested because he cannot control the car the way he wants so just turns to another thing within minutes, which is good for the car health, I agree with you.
So they only play when I am with them, at present time, in opened area or forest. So accidents will not damage anything. And the speed is low so should be ok. I trained my 6yo first thing to break to reduce impact speed, whether it happens. He really trained doing that on and on :)

Now, if the idea to drive vintage cars is the problem per se... I think you can teach them to respect old things, explaining the reasons, the challenges, the specificities. Depending on each child, it might bring them to a higher level and make them feel self-responsible and thinking out of the box. That's my hope and how I see it.
Dont worry, I am not considering these cars as "normal" RC cars and I take care of them, including when I give them to children. For example, first thing I did was to replace the original tires to keep them untouched: they are too rare to burn them playing around.

I owe old cars and old motorbikes : "old" is part of our daily routine and, hence, education process. :) We do respect them fully for what they are.

Looks fun. And with the 55T + speed limitation on the radio handset, it manages nice in the rough.

Along with my old own Rocky:
