I have a few ideas the original car just used arms off of the horn but I think I can come up with something better. When I'm done I'm go to put everything on thingiverse so if anyone wants to make one of there own all they will have to do is find a way to cut out the parts.

Looking forward to seeing how you address the steering. It's a small part but one which is often giving me headaches when building custom cars

Getting a little progress on the steering this is what I'm thinking of doing. It's not finished yet and still needs some tweeking. The bell cranks will sit below the servo on the top plate and this will allow the car to still appear to have a similar setup to the original car but have much better geometry. I wanted to have more done by now but the main thing I'm waiting on is for the aluminum chassis to get here but this darn virus is making it take longer.

Thanks for sharing. I get the idea.
I did a similar thing on a custom 4wd thing. I used a low profile servo which I turned so it faces the rear of the car:

It took some thought to figure out the right order of assembling.

Yes that is very similar to what I am doing. That's a cool setup

Here is the final steering design I'm very happy with it. I want to keep it looking some what like the original car while still being runnable and I think I have achieved that.

Also I want to know your guys opinion on the body I have it coming from team blue groove and I can't decide if I should paint it like the original car from the picture below or just do my own thing.

I always say "do your own thing"...unless you're going for a replica or box-art, of course. Then, do someone else's thing.
