no with the fact I cant run the wheels really wanted, bummed me out so bad its been sitting in the corrner. I am going to finish it up and just do it box art I guess. that video was cool and thats what I wanted to do with it anyway so I guess the wheels dont matter. I might just chrome them?

here are some better pics and some pictures of what I wanted it to be, as you can see the rear wheels wont bolt up. the axles need to be longer.

thank you, I love the car I just really had my heart set on running those aluminun wheels and the big rear tires they are twice as wide and a little taller than the Tamiya wheels.

Don't give up,

I'm 99.9% sure if you could find a set of either the JG or CRP Blackfoot to Ultima wheel adapter nuts you could get those rear wheels bolted up:

thanks Diggley and Gary! I am pretty happy. I might get a set of custom rear wheels made. the back is hex drive, I want the flat CenterLine wheels it wouldnt be to hard. I think a set of ultima or anything with the hex drive will pop up some time. but the way it is is growing on me just needs different rear tires. I dont think these are going to move much sand.

Well I must say I am still very disappointed in this kit. I built it put it back in the box and its never seen light since. but with all of the work I have been doing on my other VW's I took it out and replaced the tires made some side cover dirt shields. their not on their still drying.
I really wish Tamiya would have put at least 5min of thought into this kit. I must say I have never been more excited about buying a NIB kit, that I ended up being so dissapointed in. well I order a set of Stadium Blitzer oil filled shocks/ nd heavy duty tie rods. Then a Sport Tuned motor to replace the baby 380 motor it came with. The new tires look a lot better than the stock ones.
I added the licence plate cover and I am working on a new head that hat had to go. its getting ready to be repainted also I want to cover all of those holes in the hood
