That's going to be awesome. I've been having a blast with 3D printing new parts.

I'm starting to get this! One will never get off this train once it's in motion.

For the last few builds i've said to myself this might be the last one, but no..
Something new is just waiting around the corner and jumps up at you and you say: Oh my! that looks like a cool build!! and your mind starts running.

I will be following this build with great enthusiasm and hoping it will be available for this great community in a near future.

Thank you scr8p and Niki.

Nice! I'll hold off on my composite craft world "worlds" build till the release.

This is my virtual prototype. I don't know what kind of car scr8p is going to build. We'll see...
It has been a pleasure to do teamwork with you scr8p. Thanks.

Thanks for your help with it Niki.

My plan was to use a re-release Composite Craft Worlds chassis set, but I got tired of trying to get one out of them. So I'll just be using a tub chassis. Gonna use a rere tub though since I only have one new black B tub and don't want to use it for this build. I'm still hung up on exactly what direction I want to take it. Whether to go straight up team car look like Niki's rendering, or maybe go with a milled rere tub and dye the arms black for a '93 worlds look.

This looks like a great project, thanks for the contribution guys! The level of build quality on this site continues to amaze and inspire me.

I wonder how much toe in has been built into the rear arm mounts and hub carriers? I like the higher position of the axle with the hub carriers, and I've used the now discontinued RPM GT carriers on a couple of models. I wonder if a version of the hubs could be made with recessed 3/16x3/8 (or the great big 1/2") bearings? This would make it more compatible with the worlds re-re, but obviously less authentically vintage! It would be great to use the re-re wheels though. That's not meant as a criticism, more as a wish list, and hopefully it doesn't sound demanding. I look forward to using these parts on a build either way once they're available.

I'm also intrigued by the steering enhancement kit. I've tried to get a hold of one over the years, but they're always so expensive. What can one expect handling wise with an 'enhanced' steering kit? Are there conditions it helps with like bumpy, low grip etc? Looks like it will be applicable to other models, maybe the 10T?

The rear arm mounts are 3* toe and 3* anti-squat, the hubs are zero.

I'm pretty sure Niki has a rear hub that is a different design which incorporates a larger outer bearing. For my build, I wanted it to use the standard 1/4" x 3/8" or 3/16" x 3/8" flanged bearings.

I honestly do not know the pros/cons of the steering enhancement kit. But, while the castor block is the same, the steering arm is different between the buggy and truck. These are for the buggy only.

I got all of my parts cleaned up and dyed the in coffee/tea like others have done with their NIX91 stealth parts. While they don't look bad in pics compared to original AE parts, in person, I'm not happy with them at all. So I'm gonna try to do something with them with some yellow RIT dye. If that doesn't work, I'll just dye the whole batch black, build a runner with them, and order another set to build a team car-ish shelfer and try again.

Well, I think I was able to salvage them with some RIT golden yellow. They now look more like old parts in need of peroxide rather than having a goofy looking reddish hue.

Original rear arm in middle of pic for comparison.

Too white? If anything they're too yellow. Here's a stock arm on left, plain shapeways arm in middle, dyed shapeway arm on right.

I think the color looks about right now. I personally don't like the parts too white.

This is really cool, looking forward to seeing the final result. It isn't a 3 year project hopefully?
