Been meaning to do this for ages , it's a gear cover for the pinion and spur , it won't seal it all completely as it can't be sealed at the bottom of the chassis but it should stop crap raining down on the gears .

The tires i ordered to run it with finally arrived yesterday so today she ran for the first time since the rebuild , the transmission sounds incredibly smooth ! its still running the silver can complete with the odd plastic pinion that came with it but it still ran with a nice enough pace with the 2S 2200mah lipo i made for it , its a very easy car to drive , nicely balanced , quite pleased for a first run , until i can find some metal diff crown gears i think i'll keep the silver can motor to preserve the plastic crown gears . The last of the decals arrived as well so you can see where I'm heading with the body paint job .

They all run even if only lightly , its a big part of it for me to know what each car on my list drove like , I don't think I could resist , that's kind of why I have left some cars out of my collection so far, I really want a Marui Samurai but they are so renowned for being fragile ..... One day maybe .

Wile E on your Coyote! Too bad SG didn't do a "Tamiya" and have a proper animal logo for it. You'll also have to find a Spica Road Runner to go with the Coyote.

Cool to hear you ran it without breaking anything. Love the Wile E decals..can’t wait to see the body now! I have some metal crown/ring gears for you..they are the chrome plated, pot metal ones. Not the nice machined ones, but better than plastic.

I'm away on holiday soon so all spending is off so the body will have to wait for paint , very slow build this one by my standards but its getting there .

I've now fitted the metal crown gears that BattleTrack kindly supplied , I've run it a few more times , still sounds silly smooth and is so composed , of all my Vintage cars probably only the PB Mini Mustang drives better but I've not driven them back to back yet so I don't know , with getting the resin 3d printer this month I'm still short on cash for paint but next month I really must daub some colour on the body .

Haha! That's a great paint scheme right there! Love it!

EDIT: The only thing it's missing is something along the lines of "ACME Racing Inc."
