Small update. I gave up. Ordered these from JC Racing for the front and rear: https://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/stadium-truck/wheels-st/5-spoke-rc10-truck-wheels. My intentions are to dye them black.

That leads me to my next question, and I haven't actually done any research yet but it looks like people get good results using Rit fabric dye? https://www.amazon.com/Rit-Dye-Liquid-Fabric-8-Ounce/dp/B001QX2G9S

I'll do some research on the process in the meantime.

I use RIT dye. They have one specific to synthetics that I use and reuse.

I can only find "Graphite" in the synthetic which apparently comes out as a dark gray but Black is available in the standard stuff that apparently people have a lot of success with also. Anyway, thanks for the guidance. πŸ‘

I would highly recommend using the Rit Dyemore. The old RIT dye was good but its been gone for a while now and the new stuff just doesn't seem to work as well. Dyemore is like the old stuff. You can get it at fabric stores and Hobby Lobby. Graphite is the black in Dyemore, its still jet black.

These were dyed with Dyemore graphite

I think Graphite is just a fancy name for black. I'm 99% sure the Graphite is what dyes my parts black. I get mine from a local Hobby Lobby.

I store my used dye in glass containers for future reuse. Plastic jugs and steel paint cans have both left me with catastrophes.

Thanks, boys! I'll look that up and git me sum!

OK, friends, got my wheels dyed and tires mounted up last week. The dying process was way easy to thanks to all that weighed in on that little detail.

My next question is, how do you all fit a standard sized 2S hardcase lipo in a T2?!?!

I run the round hard case LiPo's as I didn't want to change the battery mount.

You can remove the existing mount and use a puretech Velcro strap. It’s backed with adhesive so it can be used without drilling the chassis or slimming down the battery mount

That's the ticket! I was not going to be modifying any of the factory parts or drilling the chassis so this is freakin awesome! Thanks!

Just be sure that it is where you want it when you set it in place. Whatever glue it has on it is serious stuff.
