I have 2 Losi XXX BK2. I love them. But I'm thinning the herd and can't justify keeping 2 of the same vehicle. At first I was going to sell one as a roller but they don't seem to do well on EBay anymore and I'm getting no interest on classified sites. I want a SCT and I know the XXXT to SCT conversions do well.

I'm wondering what would be involved in converting the XXX-BK2 to an SCT from an A-Arm stand point. Are the XXXT arms longer? Does the BK2 share bulkheads with the xxxt so I could just buy new A-arms?

I've already done a SCT conversion but that was on an RC10T2 (well sort of LOL, XX chassis, RC10T2 rear and a RC10GT2 front end with Slash bumpers...really a franken-truck but the thing does AWESOME) so it required less issues with the arms.

arms, camber links and tie rods are longer .bulk heads i believe are the same but i think chassis is longer on truck also.

You would convert the buggy to a truck first:

longer chassis
all 4 arms
longer tie rods
different C hubs and steering knuckles
longer shocks
longer rear dog bones

Then to convert the truck to an SCT:

CRC kit or Exotech kit
wheels/tires
body

IF I do it, I'm not going to worry about the longer chassis because I will make the components I need instead of getting the CRC or exotech and just cut some G10 fiberglass long enough to give me the 12.6" min wheelbase I need.

My biggest concern is over the width because the BK2 is about 9-7/8" wide and minimum SCT width is 11.42". You pick up some with the tires but not that much. I'm thinking the rear end will be a bigger issue because of the CVD's etc.

Might not be worth it. Might try and find someone with an extra XXXT who wants to trade for a buggy LOL then do it.
