I just read the Model Cars RC10 review at the scan archive and apparently the first generation RC10 included adapters for Tamiya wheels. If someone here has them I would really appreciate a pic as I never seen these anywhere. I guess at some point Associated stopped including the adapters as RC10 wheels and tires became industry standard.

industry standard? Not untill they go metric

I would say the standard in 1/10 is the 12mm hex.
Original design from Kyosho?

But ok, you could argue it's both: the hex only became real succesfull after it was combined with asso's pin through the axle.

Edit:  sorry didn't realize you were refering to front wheels till I clicked submit and skidrows post showed up also

actually I did meant the rear wheels, but maybe only front adapters were available? (see pic)
I think I may have used the term 'industry standard' too liberally. What I meant of course was that pretty soon every third party manufacturer made replacement wheels and tires for the RC10.

Yeah, only front wheel adapters came in the kits. I'm not sure if and when they stopped including them in the kits. I don't think associated ever made adapters for the rears.
