Just snagged this from one of the guys that work at the local Hobbytown for $50! I have been wanting a white GT ever since I got rid of my original one. I plan on restoring this bad boy! Probably not going to make it all brand new, because most of the parts are allready in very good condition, but it will be a shelf queen. I am picking up a new body for it tomorrow, and I allready have a line on some brand new parts for it. If any of you guys have anything I may be able to use, please let me know! :D

How it was when I got it. What a shame, sitting for all those years this dirty....... :(

After a quick clean-up with alcohal and air. Much better! 8)

That's awesome! I'm doing the same thing, but it's taken three different GT's and a 10T to come up with all the white parts... Now to find one of those original Yokomo motors...

I will receive a RC10 dual sport on next Friday, the chassis looks to be very similar, I'll post pics before and after cleaning and restoring, does anyone of you own such a model? I would be interested in buying some parts... ANYONE?

The Dual Sport is very similar to the GT. They share about 75% of there parts. Basically a DS is a GT setup for on-raod. I always thought the DS's were pretty cool, I would like to get one someday.

I believe 1997 was the intro on the DS, the electric came out slightly before the nitro.

and now when did they stop the production for the electric DS? Did it have success in the US? Was there several versions?

I believe the production ended in 2000. There were "Racer" (not that there was Team racing), Sport, and later on, Qualifier versions. Plus the conversion sets.

Racer was bearings and Teflon shocks

Sport was bushings and gold shocks

Qualifier was, I believe, the very end. Maybe with bearings and gold shocks... :?:

I've never had the electric version, but still have a very nice NDS Racer.

In my previous post (before I deleted it), I apologize for that misinformation. I don't know what I was thinking about :? .

Started working on this truck tonight. Got it completely torn apart except for the diff. This thing is in excellent condition. All the common wear parts are like new. Even the high wear parts like brake hub, slipper assembly, diff, and bushings are all excellent. This one even has the clutch spring and the thrust bearing still in it! I have LOTS of pics, I will post some soon. 8)
