It started with a pair of universals....and became a T2

I bought a lot that came with a new unused set of universals. I sat on them for a while as they were too good for a project truck. Then came a noseplate for $10 and a battery strap in another lot. This is when I decided to go the T2 route- parts were less hard to find and generally cheap. Found a complete GT trans kit in the junk bin for $30. Chassis was $25. I think the body is the only thing I paid over retail for. Soon the pile looked like this:

I decided that now that i have a place to put it, it's time to build! Short of tires which are in the mail, it's pretty much a complete roller- all from NIP parts. I'll spare the build details cause it's just a T2

Very nice. I think I'm going to collect parts to build a T2 and B2 , may be used parts or what ever I can find. I never really cared for them , but wishing I had one lately

I'm the exact same way. My RC10 collection was based on buying a new Jammin diff kit for the 6 gear trans for $1. Did not have any intentions on building an RC10. Then pieces coming together...and with enough $$$$, a very nice RC10 was built.

Trying to avoid building a Tmaxx with the $1 alum arms and $1 alum buklheads that I picked up in a bargain bin.

Thanks guys! I have located some tires, eBay fronts (In fact I have a few to resell now too) and A member has some rears. Pretty happy with the build! T2's are such a nice farewell tub chassis

I'm a big fan of the T2, probably because it was my first Stadium Truck. They looked good, were well built, tough, handled good, and were the last of the tub chassis.
