Going to the Reedy Race 2015 OCRC

So I got lucky for a change, and both my son (Cody) and I got our name picked in the Reedy Race lottery http://www.reedyrace.com/2015/offroad/index.html. The official hotel I'm sure is very nice, but $109 a night is a bit steep for me. Any locals recommend a motel or hotel that is close to OCRC is a good price and clean?

I'm driving down from Calgary via Vagas so was thinking of leaving Calgary on Friday 16th getting to Vagas on the 17th. Try the Vagas 702 track on Sunday the 18th. Monday drive to LA get a room and hit up a local indoor track in the afternoon. Kick around LA till the Reedy Race starts on Wednesday. Should be good!

Any recommended indoor tracks open Mondays and Tuesdays in LA?

$109 is pretty cheap for Orange County
Try one of the "PriceLine" type sites, that will be your best bet.

Last time I was there I only paid 60 bux, but that was just for an hour. Of course it ended with the manager calling the cops when I demanded my $57 back because I only used the room for 3 minutes... :?

Congrats Rod...I will have to attempt to come by and meet you and your son. I dont stay at hotel/motels in the area, but mk-Zero and I can recommend LRH as a local track to get some wheel time in. I think the traction is quite close to/on par with OCRC, if not a bit more bite. Normally not open on Mondays though.

So my son just got a freshly painted body from VintageAE. Like any good father to his 20 year old son, I just had to be a prick!
