You could always stock up on Schumachers.... they got their re-releases out of the way early in life, with the Club10 rerelease of the Cougar range..... and with SSK releasing certain models.

MB re-re will be interesting.... see whether it's close to the original, or just a VW body on one of the newer wheelie chassis....

i like the re-releases that are updated etc, like the P34 / Willy Wheeler etc. modernised. those ones are complementary to a collection :)

good i hope this goes for everyone. got out of the hobby a bit cause i could not stand the ebay prices. the point of the hobby is some cheap fun not spending real car cash..dont know when but years ago ebay went from finding rc10s 10ts t2s for like $20 to $50 for a parts tree to rebuild a blackfoot front end. cant wait to see if they made any changes and hope to get one.

sure, but the only reason they are getting re-releases is because these companies see the popularity with the collectors. the collectors made these happen, now they are getting the ones getting shafted. you think the RC10 rerelease would have happened without RC10Talk for example?

like I said, im more than happy if they are re-release "homage's" then even a collector would want to get one to sit alongside his original. just going down to your local hobbyshop and buying a car isnt anywhere near as fun as finding one in a garage sale. hunting for your food is far more exciting that going to the supermarket to buy it off the shelf. :)

out of interest though, what are some other industries doing the re-release game?
