Hi All,

Well, I had a go kart up for sale or trade for RC stuff and this guy contacts me with an RC truck he got out of a storage unit. I recognized it as an RC10 and instead of trading I bought it for $80. Now I need some help figuring out what vintage it actually is. It came with all the original parts as well, which was cool. Take a look at the pics and let me know.

It's an rc10 buggy with RPM "truck" arms and JG truck wheels. Old school stadium truck conversion..... pre 10t.

Your good! Ok, that makes more sense to me now. The non-stealth transmission was throwing me for a loop. Is the conversion rare?

Not really rare IMO, and that conversion could have been done well after the real truck kits were available.

I am trying to figure out what I should do with this vehicle. I don't really want to "run" the non-stealth transmission for fear of ruining it. Should this be wall art?

It looks like a runner, and you only paid $80 for it. Depending on your budget you could drop $35 on a Stealth tranny and run some modern electronics. Otherwise the vintage stuff will work fine using your current 6 gear tranny. If the idler gears break they are p/n 6613 (white) or 6614 (black). I believe the blacks are delrin and stronger.
