At this stage you are lucky to have the pro transmission, I have been checking the schumacher site every day for almost a month and it is always out of stock. Modelsport had some but where sold out in minutes... :(

All I can think of is to make sure you loosen of the main belt completely and first tighten down the rear belts, then tighten down the main belt.
Also from what I have seen in the pictures the pro transmission looks like the same belt pitch as the modern cars KC K2 etc... so belt tension should be different from the vintage car, what I don’t know is if more or less.

Hi there,

Check the eccentric bearing holders (u7187 kit or u7245 alloy) in the rear gearbox. They have to be readjusted for the pro transmission. The instructions tells you to install the bearing holder indicator towards the top layshaft (way loose btw) for the stock transmission. With my pro transmission it ended up pointied towards the two holes at the rear of the transmission side plates.

Check for any binding as well, the old school cats require a lot of finessing to make everything work (even with the pro transmission). I do have the alloy gearbox options as well which allows things to be tighten up abit more. With the std plastic housings perhaps back all the screws out slightly. Remove any plastic flashings that may prevent the top layshaft bearing holders to be square as well.

I do have a disclaimer as my pro kit did not come with the pulley flanges for the top layshaft so I quickly machined out some spacers till I get the replacement from Schumacher (tbh I don't think it really needs them as the rear belts sit closer to the main belt). All the best with yours hope this helps as mine is pretty free.

Cheers
Chris

It will probably be solved by now, but check the clearance in the front housing and surrounding parts. The front pulley rubs on the lexan undertray.
