Kyosho has been pretty on point with their vintage releases. This one is a special for the 60th anniversary. I think it's pretty special to acknowledge Akira for his design that we all love. They already showed a LWB car in marketing material for one of their shows. It's totally coming.

I love it. I already reserved one. It will be my third new Mid. I built the first as a Turbo Optima Mid, the second as a full custom carbon LWB and I'm excited for this one. Hate all ya like. It's beautiful.

Will you be doing electronics? I’m thinking of doing it. But one of the servo tabs will need to be removed by a section to clear the belt, that part is holding me back a little, because vintage servos in good shape are also hard to find. I’ll probably sort out the shell first :) If you use a Futaba...

It has already begun. I ordered the Pargu plate and the motor plate from the guy in the UK. Found the Youtube guy's parts on Shapeways. Found the carbon bits by Fibre Lyte. What diffs and axles are compatible? Are the ZXR belts compatible?

Apparently Fiber Lyte already did the carbon bits.

This is the Kyosho Holy Grail. I wish somebody would draw the parts in cad so that we could scratch build one.

There's a good chance the box may never be opened, or at least for many years. The Turbo Optima and CAT XLS have been sitting on the shelf unopened for 2-3 years or so. Problem is there's nearly 20 project cars/trucks, and growing, sitting on the shelf ahead of them. And projects get done at a snai...

I have that setup in my original car. I was able to find one side on ebay for building another, but not the other.
