MarkyDents wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 7:50 am Looking good, what did you coat the chassis with ?
Just an acrylic clear coat for now. Im hoping i will learn how to restore it to new, but for now i just sealed the edges with CA glue and the clear coat. Working on the body right now since its decent weather here.

Re: Ronbo's RC10 Graphite to Masami 89 RC10GX

Well, started to work on the car, starting with the chassis plate. This should be the hardest part, as its taking alot of work to get 30 plus years of stickers, North Carolina clay, glue and some serious battle damage to get clean. Its better, still a little more to go. I looked on ebay for any grap...

Re: Team Associated Japan RC10GX (Rare NIB RC10-GX )

Any dates for the release of this tub version of the GX? Im looking at your rear hubs, look like 91-92 lightened versions? I see this is stealth gearbox, the version of Masamis 89 Reedy i believe it was sporting stealth due to the rear screws look inboard for stealth. Also wondering if Masamis rear ...

Re: Ronbo's RC10 Graphite to Masami 89 RC10GX

Following this thread. Nice project! I have an RC10GX and trying to decide what to do with it. How is the build coming along? Any pictures "in progress"? I had to reorganize my parts for the car. Then modernizing my RC10T to run. Need to lay out the parts again. Still need yellow battery ...

Ok, time to update. I got the newer CVDs from a good gent on Facebook. Managed to get the equivalent to the ZC422 and 423. 1 pair 422, 2 pairs 423. Still waiting on the ebay 422s CVDs i ordered in November! Ive set the car up already with them, 423s on all 4 as the RPM rear hubs move the geometry ou...

Re: Ronbo Cliff Lett Modern runner

Is it the picture angle, or is that servo huge? Its an Airtronics 94162z MG hi torque (115-144oz) servo. Yeah, the top case compared to a 94102 std servo is about 1/8" longer at top when comparing the at the servo mount. So far makes a great replica of the original, at least as close as Im goi...

Re: Ronbo Cliff Lett Modern runner

Got the truck mostly done today, still need some unflanged bearings to get these shiny MIP 1/4" universals to fit. Put together the AVID RC driveshaft and T4 era slipper, here it is with my T4.2. Put on V2 threaded shocks, finally put new Mr A Ultra decals on 14T triple. Going to try the 'new' ...

Re: Ronbo's RC10 Graphite to Masami 89 RC10GX

And easier to get since its Yokomo. Probably the same as using the yokomo tie rod ends, more secure and readily available. Although, JJ Halsey looked to use the RC10 shock ends on his 85 champ, which is what i did. I bought a bunch of Re re shock ends to do this on this Masami car. I have a few extr...

I had planned on running this https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=39576&p=505804&hilit=ronbo#p505804 after collecting some modern parts along the way. In the spirit of this JConcepts article here and on their website https://www.jconcepts.net/garage/projects/2017-cliff-lett-rc1...

Ronbo's RC10 Graphite to Masami 89 RC10GX

Thankfully one of the items that didn't get purged in early 2000s was my original RC10 Graphite chassis, with original box , manuals with stealth transmission. Although the parts were all used on other cars at time, my battle worn chassis (as I noticed on the front end plate) survived. But I wanted ...
