Re: GoolRC Brushless combo?
Well, I discovered the 1/24 scale Losi's and really want one... so I went the cheap route with a replacement brushed motor. I ended up with a Electrifly S-600. It was reviewed well by the traxxas guys as a durable alternative to the Titans. Ground a flat spot on the output shaft, opened up my motor ...

Re: GoolRC Brushless combo?
Are capacitors required on the newer brushed motors, or are they built-in?
Which ebay brand did you end up going with?SiRacer420 wrote:I got a cheap set similar to that on ebay and it is a bit loud but works very well. Much faster than the old stuff. Turn down the ESC when you get it!

GoolRC Brushless combo?
Well, my GreenMachine2 finally burnt up so I guess I'll make the jump to brushless! I was leaning towards a Turnigy Trackstar 13.5T combo, but I saw a GoolRC 3100kv on Amazon for half the price. Any experiences with the brand? This is really just for backyard bashing with my XXT on 2S lipo My other ...

Re: Another XXT Resurrection
I flipped the rings, but didn't replace. Did a "break-in", checked the dif. Ran it some, checked the diff... stripped the nut. It had the 6 washers called out in the manual, but that was leaving only a thread or two engaging the nut and nothing into the nylok which is why I think it loosen...

Re: Another XXT Resurrection
Haven't updated this in awhile... I'll try to get some pictures up later What I thought was just a busted upper brace turned out to have cracked the servo saver as well. After getting those replaced I stripped out the diff gear. I need a job as a destructive tester! So it was time for some noticeabl...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T
If your seals aren't leaking, you can just drain/clean/refill the shocks. I just did that to mine with 35wt oil. I was going to replace the o-rings, but had ordered the wrong ones. I've seen carbine recommended for the diff balls over ceramic because they don't slip as easily. But ceramic is best fo...

Re: XX/ XXT upper brace
While I am looking for that XXT CR Body I know I have somewhere, I'll keep an eye out for the upper brace. Does it have to be new? I am sure I have some gently abused ones in a box somewhere. New, used, plastic, graphite. Even slightly damaged! Think i have multiple spares of these parts. Pm me if ...

XX/ XXT upper brace
Well, I let me wife drive my XXT and she quickly found a mailbox. Mostly unscathed except her pride, in her defense it was pushing when on-power. Guess I need to lower the front some.
Anyone have a lead on an upper brace (part of A4110)?

Re: Another XXT Resurrection
BUHAHAHAHHAHA.... It's alive! Ended up with a Vans' 6500mah 2s. Soldered up new 10ga wiring (10yd BoyBoy wasn't the best at soldering) with some Deans connectors and just got done letting her rip at little. I was a little worried that the electronics were bad, but everything came up just fine. I mus...
