Re: Best way to beautify my racer XX

If you're going to do a new body, the Pactra Fluorescent Yellow (303408) is a great match to Losi's neon yellow plastic, such as the wheels.

Re: XXXT wheels?

I did the 12mm hex conversion on one of my XX-T's using Traxxas Slash parts. It was pretty easy. If you are still looking at this as an option, let me know and I can help.

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

A bit of an update... The one piece diff nut arrived, so I reassembled the diff replacing the two piece lock-nut that kept wanting to strip out. Then, decided it was time for a shakedown run. Must say, I'm a bit disappointed at how slow it was. Running a "diamond" (white -12x2 -33,700RPM) ...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Thanks, Ben! I was hoping you would chime in, but there is certainly nothing to apologize for. I knew it was a mix-n-match, but I'm just not well versed enough in the nuances of these cars. Your reply helped me a great deal!

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Took delivery of another lot of parts. Most of the stuff appears to be for a XXX, but there was some XX/XX-T stuff in there. I have a few questions... 1) This is in reference to @Jamin with regard to one of his XX-T G+ pictures (see below). I tried to mock up the XXX aluminum rear bearing carrier an...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Where do you get the dye? I still need to dye my steering parts as well? Are there different colors of black? I used Rit dye. Its supposedly available everywhere. I got mine at my local supermarket, in the cleaning supplies isle. They should have them at Walmart, Target, CVS, ect... A fabric store ...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Lastly (for today) I have been somewhat annoyed at the XX-T's front fixed axle design. Limits wheel choice, and ability to rotate tires. So, 12mm hex conversion was in order. Since my basher is a 2wd Slash, I had some slash parts laying around. Lets see if we can make them fit?

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Thanks! Yeah, Im excited to bolt those pretty blue parts on. Meanwhile, I realized I had enough spare parts to put together another roller. So, the one I've been working on will be the graphite "CR" clone, and will get all the nice parts. The other will be all Stiffezel (sp?) and will be t...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Question relating to the rear inner hinge pins...I found two pins in my parts lot: 1) has a single e-clip groove cut and 2) no grooves cut and is a bit longer. Both appear to be the same diameter. I think the one with the single groove is the stock steel inner rear pin. But whats the other one, and ...

Can you point a guy in the direction of this mythical "improved" nut? I just stripped on of mine too trying to crank down on it.

Re: Another XXT Resurrection

If I recall there are 2 types of nut from Losi. What part did you strip? The metal nut or the plastic? I would send you a pics but I am stuck in Melbourne, Australia until June. I have the two-piece version...a small lock nut inserted into a plastic "cup" that has the tabs sticking out th...
