Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore

If you expose those awfull green parts to direct sunlight for a few days, they will turn to a wither shade.

Don’t use bleach, they will turn yellow.

Re: Yokomo 870 runner

Last pictures of the restoration. I used an Associated body support to make a smaller battery post. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/26//18072611264217236515823698.jpg Electro is working fine: Reedy 19x4, Novak 610, KoPropo PS201 servo. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/29//180729074411...

Re: Yokomo 870 runner

Nice job on the cvds I figured they would be close. Are they 22-4 fronts? They are 2wd Losi 22 rear cvd, I also had to grind 0.2mm on the pin diametre to make them work with the yokomo diff outdrives. Lot of work on the wheels as they have been painted in black and in yellow.. https://nsm09.casimag...

Re: Yokomo 870 runner

Thanks, the buggy is now finished, here are some pictures of the rebuild. I made a clone of the rear shock tower. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/15//18071508312617236515808614.jpg test fit of the cleaned parts and "new" rear tower. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/15//18071...

Re: Yokomo 870 runner

Thanks. Cleaned bulkheads and caps, the hole in the rear cap has been filled with some dental resin. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/13//18071310333417236515805737.jpg The two front shock shaft were broken, I made some replacement with used Associated shaft. https://nsm09.casimages.com...

Complete disassembly. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/07//18070710500617236515797121.jpg First thing I've done is degreasing the magnesium bulkheads and remove oxydation with a glass bead blaster. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/12//18071209570317236515804697.jpg Then cleaning the pl...

Yokomo 870 runner

Hello, here is my 870C or YZ10 runner. I bought it on ebay in poor shape but hopefully complete. https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/05//18070510173217236515794407.jpg https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/07/05//18070510174017236515794409.jpg Some parts have been hand made, not bad, but not my t...

Re: Ten4.1

Nice to see some evolutions, I had problem with the belt tension, but I think the chassis itself is way too flexy, I always have weird belt sounds under hard braking.

Never tried to peroxyde RPM parts, but I had this result with "Rc10 Classic" rod ends, they turned fluorescent yellow.

Its a 81t spur gear. Do you think I can use a 12x2 on 2S LiPo without burning the esc?

Re: Total beater build

WC rerelease transmissions are too tight and never turns smoothly when new. I've tried with good result a break-in method: put a little amount of polishing past on the gears and pin the spur gear at high speed with compressed air. http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2015/02/15//15021504342917236512969729...

Nice build, those arms are bullet proof, I ran them for 4 years with brushless power flawlessly.

Re: Rpm World runner

Everything is finished, does someone know if 20t is a good starting point to gear it with a 17x2 and a 2S LiPo ? :?: http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2016/12/22//16122210584017236514722329.jpg Same paint scheme as my previous worldcar rerelease. http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2016/12/22//1612221058371...
