Unfortunately fairly overcast but... DSC08567.JPG DSC08570.JPG Chuck Well, I got photos but yours are much better than mine. Was planning to travel to Walnut Ridge AR but weather looked a bit dodgy so switched to Paducah KY but it was looking a little cloudy so we stayed home and, between the rain ...

Re: Finding a diff for the Axial SCX10 transmission
Thanks for creating this thread. This is perfect. Maybe not entirely obsolete. As you’ve mentioned, if you own a Stealth and need new parts, then Fan RC is the way to go. However, if you have the Austar transmission and would like to install a diff, then this thread might be useful. To summarize our...

Re: Dirty pictures thread
While waiting for the eclipse, I've been in the back yard stirring the dust with my newest F150 toy.
I've geared it up a bit and running 4s, it's nearly as fast as my buggies -- although, it doesn't jump as well.

Looking good! If you're concerned about rubbing through the paint during the polishing process, you can clear-coat with lacquer since TS is lacquer based. Apply 5-10 coats of clear, wait 10 days then a light wet-sand with 2000 grit to remove dust or orange peel then polish. It will shine and reflect...

Re: 3d10
More research is needed. I have a BBX, Axial and Injora transmissions but I'd rather not tear into them at the moment. Imagine a TA06 diff dropping into an AE Stealth case -- how crazy would that be! :D EDIT: The Stealth diff gear is much smaller tooth count so no chance replacing it with a TA06. A...

Re: 3d10
someone chimed in on the fakebook page and said you can use the tamiya hbx diff... Are they referring to the TL-01? Googling "tamiya hbx diff" yields many posts for an HBX clone of the Tamiya TL-01. maybe bbx . dont know tamiya models at all Hmmm. Well, looking at the manuals, the BBX and...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
I agree, the tire lettering and the build overall looks fantastic! I haven't attempted mine yet. That very small font is a bit intimidating. One thing I noticed is that the angle of the upper and lower rear shock mounting screws cause binding so I bent the screws slightly to allow the shocks to cycl...

Re: QUICK QUESTION
That is a really trick mod. Support for those gears will absolutely prolong their life. Thanks! A tiny amount of blue thread locker applied to each screw then, using a couple new hex wrenches, twist both screws together very tight so everything stays put. I have the GoolRC 3500kV combo as well (the...

Re: QUICK QUESTION
Happy Easter everyone. “ He is risen. ” FWIW, I’ve been running this 6-gear short arm car with a Reedy 3500kV on 2s since around 2016… P1010430.JPG …and the only transmission related problem came when the idler gear shaft E-clip broke. Apparently, the broken clip has allowed the shaft to rock in the...

Re: QUICK QUESTION
Appreciate the responses guys. Unfortunately its too late. The auction ended just after the first response. At least now I know for next time. I'm really sorry about that. I don't own a B stamp and wasn't aware they were holed for both transmissions. So, we've both learned something new. Edit: As i...
