Re: Looking for a basher for my wife.
Thanks for the info, I like the idea of a short course truck and not having all the hanging body parts. I am deciding to do a few things......and like most things I do it is probably over kill. - I bought a Pro-Line Pro 2 and it is on the way, I like the idea that it is a short course truck and I ca...

Re: The Toys That Made Us on NETFLIX= must watch
Finally watched this a couple weeks ago.
The Star Wars one was cool......actually all of them were.
I thought the Barbie one would lose my interest and just had it on as I was in the kitchen, after listening to it for a bit I came back to the Den and watched it.

Re: Looking for a basher for my wife.
I should have posted this under general/chit chat, If someone wants to move it to the general section, please do so. I understand that Traxxas is a go to one for bashers all over the place.....so I should really go that way. I have thought of an RC10 conversion, and I already have a pan that has bee...

Looking for a basher for my wife.
I am not sure where else to put this and I hope everyone is ok with me posting this here. I am not and have never really been a basher, when I was a kid I did the "lets see how big of a jump I can take this off", until I broke something that was difficult to get replacements for.....and th...

Re: grease & lubricants, what and where?
For shock o-rings I'm partial to Avid SLOP. I have seen a bunch of comments to grease the o ring, It seems like we just used to rub them with some oil and dump the shock oil in....bleed, and done. This is a quoted from another page and was not sure if I could link to it. "I have heard of guys ...

grease & lubricants, what and where?
I know this is a loaded question, but.... Obviously RC10 (6 gear and Stealth) as well as Kyosho Optima, but also have a Hot Bodies D413 and will probably be adding more to the list. Figured this would be an easy decision.....When I was a kid, I just went to the hobby shop, someone asked what I neede...

Re: Optima rere and original parts interchangeability?
To convert the Original Optima into 2016 gear/diff spec. will set you back 100-120 USD + 30-40 for the counter sunk plates. Regarding the Pro Xrt, I´d go for either a Lethal Weapon, a Triumph or a RB transmission - None of those are plug and play, but the Triumph has the same bolt pattern as the SS...

Can you give a tutorial for the Lexan Layman on how you get such beautiful cuts?
This is a great build, now I want to put one like this on my list.

Re: Optima rere and original parts interchangeability?
That second post about just purchase the gear cases and gears is what is beating out all other choices right now. I already have a Turbo Optima and a Turbo Optima Mid that are both OG, this extra one was a parts car and instead of buying a rere I thought I would make this one a bit of a mutt. I was ...

Optima rere and original parts interchangeability?
I have a parts Optima that I have been thinking of building into a runner.....I have searched and found random comments and know that not everything is interchangable, but what 2016 parts can be swapped out on the original. I like the flush screws in the rear plates and would like to swap them out. ...

Re: Cleaning vintage R/C gearbox and diffs?
Thanks for all the answers. I have been using dawn, just picked up some simple green, but still need to get WD-40.....that stuff was always a sin to have around when I grew up.
Also have a bunch of bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide for the RC10's white part.

Re: "Free Hand me down parts" rc10
This was a really cool thing to do for someone. I only wish I found this post earlier so I could have helped out. Good job for everyone that helped on this. I also think it is really cool that he was trying to build something with what he had, it also looks like he posted some project stuff on faceb...

Re: Cleaning vintage R/C gearbox and diffs?
Which type of Simple Green? They now have the original recipe, along with industrial cleaner & degreaser, clean building, heavy duty, crystal, and I think one or two more. I am guessing the original, All Purpose, Stuff. Thanks for the info. Simple question, but I'm glad I asked before taking oth...

Cleaning vintage R/C gearbox and diffs?
Wondering what is the best (and safest) way to clean vintage R/C gearbox and Diffs. I have done a lot of searching and see that a lot of people use Naptha, I am just wondering if it is safe to use on a vintage gearbox, diffs, and "gears"? If it helps......Of course I am talking about an RC...

mk-Zero... I got to talk to Billy about guitar stuff when I think he was first starting to play. Do you know if he kept with it? I know of TheBucket and Notchback65, they are both names I have seen a lot of post from, I believe they were both over on the Samba.......As for meeting them, I am honestl...
