Re: Which modern transmission cover for TRX-1?

Hi guys, I wanted to give a quick update about this one. I got my hands on a Rustler cover, but the "bracket" bit looked a bit odd, really. I had an RPM B4 cover laying around... a quick blank assembly showed it could work, albeit with a smaller spur than the 87T I had planned. GearCover2.jpg The bo...

That looks great so far. It will be interesting to see how your chassis turns out. I too fell in love with the body and bought a 30th anniversary kit but it’s so beautifully packaged in the box I couldn’t motivate myself to build it. Thanks Jim! The beautiful package is also something that convince...

Ask Gil

Seriously, no idea (as if there was any hope I'd know something). I have to admit your detail-spotting abilities are pretty amazing, though

Thanks for sharing the knowledge, as usual :) (albeit in question format this time)

Re: I need help to get a little more speed on my RC10T4.3

Same here - 20mph is dog slow, like 80's-nikko-slow. 3300kv-slow on a "modern" rtr with lipos should be at least a third faster than that... In this order: Check speed controller calibration (is it hitting full throttle?) Check battery condition ( too low amps? too low voltage?). what do you charge ...

Re: Replace ball diff with gear diff?

Well guys, I've run about 20-30 more packs (2S and 3S mixed) through the car. I seem to finally have settled on a solution. I had to rebuild the diff about 3 more times (including sanding the diff rings and thrust rings), and it would keep getting crunchy after a very short time. In order to keep i...

Here are the wheels with the 3 and 6mm offset. They already received Tamiya slick tires and foam inserts, and extra Goodyear decals!
