Re: Help Identifying RC Car? and what it might need?

It appears to be a Tamiya Rising Storm which is based on the DF-02 platform. Yep, Lowgear is correct, it's a Tamiya Rising Storm DF-02 buggy. Very solid, easy to get parts for, and go well enough. For less than $10, that's a bargain. You really have two options: 1) Give it a quick blow of air, add ...

Re: Schumacher Club 10 Ad

The original Club 10, (the Mk1, if you will) was pretty much a re-released original Cougar in many areas, but with some updates for later tech (hubs, towers, shocks, diffs, etc.). Things really changed up when the Mk2 came along - plastic-bodied shocks, fixed camber and steering links, gear transmis...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Finished my cheap eBay Tamiya DF02 Rising Storm rebuild over the weekend.... replaced some broken parts, removed a lot of nasty paint, replaced some broken electronics, and removed the rear wing mount (for now, at least). Went from this: 20230606_113632.jpg To this: 20240324_164827.jpg Fair to say, ...

So you're saying that, despite all the practice they get, the postal service can't even toss correctly?

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

What model of Schumacher is this? Does it look like an off road model that has had on road tires added and body mounts added? . 1000010225.png Judging by the body mounts and wheels / tyres, I'd be saying a Schumacher RS4x4 Road and Track. Some good info in this old 10Talk thread: https://www.rc10ta...

I was going to say, that's a very dull paint scheme :P

Then again, might suit the RC10CC ;)

Re: Schumacher Nitro 10 MK2 Ad

The Mark 2 version brought a larger (.15 vs .12) motor Yeah nah, that's not correct. Mk1 was Irvine S15R at .15 / 2.5cc. Mk2 Irvine S15R2, still at .15 / 2.5cc - just a few slight improvements (block, carb, etc.). Mk3 came with the option of a .12 engine (a Leo, from memory), or no engine at all, a...

Re: Things that irritate you

My question is, why are updates necessary? Seems every electronic device these days requires an internet connection and regular updates or they cease functioning. I'm fairly certain this issue with every damn thing needing "updates" is more about sharing whatever personal information they...
