RadioFlyer's Kyosho WTH is this thread!

As is typical, I'm confused and have questions. First up is this ONE front arm. It's on some kind of Ultima (don't worry, THAT question is comming up later!) that I acquired in a box of parts cars. It's dimensionally identical to the 7 other Ultima front arms I have but the holes are different...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Anybody know what these shocks are?

Edit: They look Delta but I can't find exact matches on Google images.

Re: Tamiya pricing going through the roof today

True dat. Tamiya can and does make some very high performance kits, but the candy kits outsell them like a hundred to one or better. A lot of that has to do with pricing though. I think only a die-hard Tamiya fan would buy a $450 TRF103 over a $350 X-Ray X1. Same goes for all their high-end kits. Ye...

Re: Rc10 BRUSHED motor suggestions

Great info! THANK YOU!! This is the break down I wanted. what symptoms to look for and how to fix. certainly not rocket science but when motors run $10 each hard to spend much time trying to track down an issue as much as id like to. once i get a few of the lesser expensive ones I will prob take a ...

Re: Rc10 BRUSHED motor suggestions

so when your motors get worn (how can you tell its worn out?) Signs that your brushed motor is worn: 1. The motor is noticably slower than it used to be. 2. The battery doesn't last as long anymore. (it's not always the battery's fault) 3. The motor runs hotter than it used to. 4. The brushes get s...

Re: Rc10 BRUSHED motor suggestions

I think I got my Radon the same way; an SC10 RTR. I agree, brushed motors are perfect for a vintage buggy that's only ran occasionally and for crawlers. Brushed motors and ESC are dirt cheap these days. I have an SCX10 and RC4WD TF2 and doubt I'll ever install brushless systems in them. so when you...

Re: Tamiya pricing going through the roof today

Damn, wish I had checked in and seen this thread a few weeks ago. I've been putting off getting a Sand Scorcher forever to add to the "to be built" kit pile, and now, I'm not sure I can get over the mental image of low $300's pricing that I'm used to. I guess I could buy on fleabay from o...

Re: Rc10 BRUSHED motor suggestions

Has anyone here ever tried one of these Reedy Radon motors? I have one from an RTR but I've never ran it. It's 17 turn and pretty cheap. I have one. I think it came in my son's Associated SC10 RTR. It's actually a pretty solid motor. It will work great in any buggy. Just an FYI for the old-school g...

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build

It's too bad 3Racing no longer sells CVDs for the Lazer; I bought a few sets that worked perfectly (for my modded width cars) at the 68mm length. They were under $20 for a pair. I believe the fronts were ZX5-19/HD and 68mm, the rears were ZX5-20/HD and 65mm. https://www.3racing-parts.com/kyosho-laz...

Re: Tamiya pricing going through the roof today

I saw the memo too and pulled the trigger on a couple of Hotshot re-releases. They were the last two showing in stock at RCMart on May 29th so I bought them both. Today they have 3 in stock at the same price I paid. Looking at the beginner kits I think the Grasshopper/Hornet/Frog kits have actually ...
