Re: The OS CZZ is back together, but will it run?

Do clutch springs get weak/sprung? My only frame of reference is distributor advance springs/weights and chainsaw clutches. Not sure how any of that relates to anything.....was just thinking if the clutch springs were "underrated". Do these things even have clutch springs??? -electric guy...

Re: The OS CZZ is back together, but will it run?

Now I need some help. It moves kinda fast at idle. I feel like it might be idling too fast causing the clutch to grab and move the truck? How do I slow down the idle? sounds like you need to shorten up to the 1mm gap mentioned above by RJ with the idle screw. You have a picture of inside the carb a...

Re: Nitro hawk update

Yeah, wasn't paying attention to part numbers. When you stated steel my mind went to the hardened aluminum idler like you posted last. Thats the only way I've ever built them that they lasted anyway. Wasn't thinkin steel.

Good luck holding the line on them.

Re: Xacto nicks and cuts

My glove size seems to vary based on who makes the gloves. I ordered a set of the finger tip covers. They will be interesting to try. Insert the cat walking in shoes video here  . Work just upped the cut resistance on our gloves so a bunch of gloves will be following people home. Gonna wait ti...

Re: Revitalizing an old 30 year old RC10GT

depends on what you are going for I guess. Keeping it old school with that dynamite in it is nice but if you are wanting something newer it seems nitro has been pretty much dried up for motors. There's plenty of runner rc10s out there with the 2.5 traxxas motor but pretty much they are just parts br...

Re: Revitalizing an old 30 year old RC10GT

as far as knowing where to get the parts I can't help but to say ebay. Last place I found them...but its been awhile since I've looked for nitro parts. The one ways are really finicky but easily clean out to work again unless you are in complete wore out state. On old ones I used to let the sit in s...

Re: Nitro hawk update

with that hardened idler gear you'll want to do yourself a favor and get the delrin top shaft gear if you're gonna run it. The 2 together will outlast that truck. Not so much metal on metal.

Re: Xacto nicks and cuts

I've got to wear cut resistant gloves for work...they suck...any chance you're an extra large glove :P ...might just lose a pair so I can go back to my mechanics for the day!

Re: Nitro hawk update

A rustler body works pretty well but can't say it would work with that exhaust. The new exhaust idea is kinda restrictive to the 2.5 but won't be an issue if you built a shelfer.

Nitrohawks for the win! 8)

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

I've been told cat 2000 and fireblade for the narrow chassis so was hoping for clarification. Got 2 for fireblade on that one anyway. Are both the same buggy but different variations?
