Grease for Fan RC Stealth Transmission?
I just got my Fan RC FR-01 kit yesterday and started the build. The kit is great, but when I got to the transmission, I realized I don't have any of the AE specified grease for the thrust bearing or diff. I do have Cow RC Udder Butter, but not sure if that's appropriate for either of these parts. Ar...

Re: 40th spur gear replacement
Does anybody happen to have a link to the Kimbrough spur gear? I have two RC10 6 gears that are in need of new spur gears and I'm hoping to find 48p gears like in the 40th. Thanks in advance for any help. This is the Kimbrough 48 pitch spur gear, just sold through Associated. https://portal.associa...

FAN RC Worlds Kit - Blue or White / Black?
I'm tired of messing with my vintage RC10s and spending more money turning them into runners than it would cost me to just buy a Fan RC Worlds Kit which I know won't be around too much longer, but I seriously cannot decide between the OG kit with White and Black plastics or the Blue kit. Just lookin...

Re: Should I buy one of these?
In Pennsylvania. You think it's a worthwhile deal? I like the platform and I love building kits so I personally would get one of each for me. I think the price point is reasonable. This is my SC6.4. Nice truck! I like building kits too....I tend to stay away from RTRs unless they're for my kids. I'...

Should I buy one of these?
So my LHS has a sale shelf that's been growing, and recently there have been some SCT 6.4s and T6.4 Team Kits for $300 each. I hadn't been in the market for one of these, but if these are deals too good to pass on I'll grab one of them, but I'm not 100% sure. Any thoughts?

Re: Today's Haul - RC10CE
How I do it, I put a sleeve over the outdrive that keeps the big 5/8" x 3/8" bearing from moving further in. It could also be something in the gearbox case as long as it doesn't touch both the inner and outer bearing races. The screw on the outside prevents the big left side bearing from ...

The screw on the left side replaces the brass tube?Frankentruck wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:33 am I've done the brass tube on the outside before but typically don't anymore. I do it a more simple way now. I keep bearings inside the outdrive too, but add the external outdrive bearing for better support.

Re: Today's Haul - RC10CE
For the 6 gear trans, have you looked into the outdrive bearing mod? For an RC10 runner with a 6 gear trans, it seems like a must do to me. The original bearing setup with the outdrives seems like it gets sloppy/floppy and I worry about the outdrives then chewing up the idler gears. It is nice that...

Re: Today's Haul - RC10CE
This popped up on FB Marketplace only about 10 minutes from my house for a very reasonable price. Complete with a Novak T4 and original stock motor, plus a Novak brushless system that I know absolutely nothing about. Not sure if that's worth anything, but still pretty cool. Chassis is very straight...

Re: Will FAN RC Turnbuckles fit an A Stamp short-arm car?
Like Juicedcoupe said, The FR-0063 kit from Fan RC is for a long arm car, but their turnbuckles are 4-40 thread and can be purchased individually. You need: 1x1" (26mm) Center Rack 4x1.25" (33mm) Camber Links 2x1.65" (42mm) Steering Links 1X1.65" (42mm) Servo Link If it were for...
