Re: AYK chassis - may be a Roadrunner (25 Sept20)

That's an AYK NX201 chassis - nothing like the AYK Roadrunner

You can find more pictures of it on my site:

Hope this helps you out.

Re: RACE PREP and AYK rare items. OLD SKOOL KOOL.

If you're going all Race Prep then you should also throw BO-13 (servo saver) in the front as it is black instead of clear. Also the Race Prep BO-3 (front arms) should have come with the black anodized bottom shock mounts. :) -Alex Click Images To Zoom http://www.inetrc.com/Gallery/200/RP_BO003F.jpg ...

Re: Mini-Z cars.....an education....please help.

Mini-Z cars are a lot of fun. Lots of upgrades you can do as well. I still have my first Mini-Z. It's a Viper with a bunch of aluminum upgrades, clear case, turbo board and working front/rear/brake lights. The Mclaren F1 has aluminum wheels, fiber chassis, wings and a bunch of other aluminum upgrade...

Didn't you announce getting out of the hobby a while back? I did... and I did. All the Tamiya stuff is gone. The remaining few hundred models are supposed to be placed on Ebay sometime in September from what I've been told. This F-350 was just a project I've had laying around for a while. your leaf...

Redone HiLift

I took the previous chassis apart to install my MFU unit then got carried away and decided to slap some of my protoype parts on Junfac braces. Hmmm... a little over 300, give or take a few. Several which are duplicated and triplicated in the count since I tend to keep acquiring and storing NIB models.... BUT.... this count will drop considerably in the near future since most of my personal collection will begin being placed on Ebay sometim...

Though I was Vice President of E-Business for a large insurance carrier at one time, I did get to know the business by getting certification in general insurance so I can help explain some of this... First off, Shodog, the insurance premium is based on risk of loss. Automobile insurance could be mor...

They are the MIP wheels that came with the 4WD kit. They had the slots for the drive pins in the back.

Vintage Real Racing RC10 Tube Frame Instructions

I located the original manual and side panels for my Real Racing RC10 tube frames. The sand rails came with two sets of panels, one with a mirror finish and the other a paintable plain beige. I never put them on because I like the open look better. The bag the instruction were in had 'RC10 1983' wri...

Beautiful build Jim. I especially like the rear tranny/clutch setup. This is worthy of Technacraft wheels not JPS!! ;)

I agree, super nice job. It certainly rivals any parts I would CNC. Outside of laser or water jet, the advantage you have in your manual method is the ability to cut sharp inside corners. Since the typical smallest CNC mill bit is 1/16", any inside corners I CNC would always be a 1/32" in ...

I can see $100 for the anodizing, but for the stripping? A .99 cent can of oven cleaner will do the job nicely. Did that price include the sanding or anything? Oven cleaner doesn't compare to a commercial acid stripping. It works great for small or simple pieces, but oven cleaner will not take off ...

I have commercially reanodized quite a few RC10 chassis (as most here already know)... here's a few points to keep in mind: (1) Anodizing does not cover up any scratches. In fact, you will find scratches you never knew existed after you anodize. Hence, you will want your chassis absolutely smooth fo...
