Re: 10 years!

Quitting was easy for me once I came to a solid honest conclusion. "I have to quit smoking or I will die early of lung cancer." That simple. Once you actually accept that, and let it sink in, and KNOW it, it really isn't hard to do (I know many will think that is BS). I had tried quitting...

Re: new LS-II build

Saying things have changed over recent years would be an understatement to say the least. Lol I haven't legitimately raced an rc in many years. As you may remember, I got away from club racing and built my own backyard 10th scale track. Unfortunately it was on a friend's land and after roughly 5 yea...

Re: Trx-1 runner

Just curious. Any reason you're not using the regular front arm mounts in black?

Also, I'll have to double check this but I'm pretty sure that the Nitro Rustler front arms are a bit shorter than the electric arms. Might give you the correct width without having to change other parts.

Re: new LS-II build

Resized_20210214_122448.jpg Anyways, this is how the LS2 is looking now. Still think I'm gonna get a reproduction lid, at least at first, and do a box art paint job on it. Still hesitant to break out the tires, wheels, and original body and decals. But I guess it wouldn't look right on display with...

Looks like that worked. Kinda sucks to have to do it that way, but oh well.

Hey stranger! I returned here for your birthday, but you must have been out celebrating.

So, I'm trying to post pics. It's telling me that the file is too large. And of course I have no idea how to change that.

Re: new LS-II build

harry697!! You're alive!! Can't wait scarf an eyeload of these pics! Yep, still here. Hopefully I can get this pics figured out today. Not much has changed on the LS2 aside from finally figuring out the front steering links and installed a few little things here and there. But I do have another pro...

Re: new LS-II build

Can anyone give me a crash course on how to post pics? Apparently Photobucket is no longer an option. Seems I got locked out of my account years ago somehow. I still post on rctech once in awhile. Figured out there's a way to upload pics directly from my phone without any need for a hosting site. Is...

Re: new LS-II build

What's the deal with this guy? Does it really take 7 years or more to build a kit? If you see him, you should probably smack him around some. Get your jabs in now. I might not see them for a few more years. Lol I actually dug this project out yesterday and more or less finished it. Only thing left ...

Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide

I'm pretty sure that the SRT front knuckle mod was mine. It's been several years since I messed with a TRX-1 and don't exactly remember what all I did to make it work. IIRC, I used the srt caster blocks, knuckle, and axle attached to a stock trx-1 arm. The reason that I even tried it in the first pl...

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread

Thanks! To be honest, even though I retired from bmx for a long time, I did race a lot of motocross from 200 til around 2007. So I still had some two-wheeled action going on in between. The worst part about getting back on a bmx bike after all those years was that it felt kinda lame compared to ridi...

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread

Go easy on me. I'm 37, way out of shape, and been retired for close to 20 years. And I have a 7-year-old who is learning, so the jumps aren't very big yet. Pic is from this summer. Just moved into my new house, started building an rc track, and my son was bugging me to build bike jumpa. Of course, d...

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread

Ace "holeshot" ? Nailed it! I just have to ask, how did you know? I won't go into too much boring detail. Basically, back in the early to mid 90's, I was big into bmx racing and was sponsored by ACE Products/ Chip n Dale bike shop. At some point in 1994, they started making these frames a...
