Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2021 ** - Winner - Brocklee

Ok this is my current ride. Something a bit different. This car started it’s life as a B6.1, but was later converted to a front wheel drive car using a ORB FWD conversion kit designed by Paul Dijkstra. It uses an alu chassis, 3d printed parts and some custom carbon parts for a pretty comprehensive r...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2014 ** - Winner - Asso_man!

Here is my entry.

It's the ARRC10 Mutant. Rebuilt to be an endurance racer. With a double "shorty setup" it has 30min+ runtime.

The front is pretty much stock, apart from the shocktower protector. In the rear it has XXX-cr rear arms and MF2 hubs to accommodate the B4 style rear wheels

Re: Cars from Janus

Ok a few updates: The ARRC10 Mutant has been converted into an endurance racer. Twin Shorties give it 30min+ runtimes. 1st race with it, it was pretty good. Until we discovered water got into the receiver and caused the transponder to malfunction. Also has a special front shocktower protector made b...

Re: Stealth 2.25 build tips and tricks.

Ok, it's getting hard to source outdrives (asc6577/asc6578). For me anyway, or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. Now I just try and bid on a decent stealh on ebay, just to get some outdrives. so I was wondering, does anyone know / have experience if the costum works outdrives work in a 2.2...

Re: SEETHING: Building garbage Associated shocks

I allways file down the spacer in a "snap-shock", it makes it a bit more smooth. Also I use different O-rings, there called "801's". I had them made with a softer rubber and slightly diffent size than the stock versions. Here in the Netherlands and Belgium most top drivers use th...

Re: Who else is getting ready for this years racing season?

I've always felt that on 'loose' tracks rear motor is easier to drive as the weight transfer hooks the weight more over the rear wheels? Or is your clay track high grip? I must admit I find driving rear motor car feels more 'natural' somehow Ours is lowgrip aswell, the setting comination of your tr...

Re: Who else is getting ready for this years racing season?

Janus- I am really intrigued by the Xfactory cars and really want to try one. IYO, how do they compare to the B4? Some people say that the X car is slower and kinda want to try one, they seem pretty cool. MOmo It's all up to where you drive and your skill level of driving. Our own home track is cla...

Re: Who else is getting ready for this years racing season?

Its basicly the same car as I used the last 2 seasons. Only changes are going to "shorty" lipo's and going to AE shocks with BB springs instead of the Losi Shocks I used the last couple of years. Otherwise, its the same. http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/2619/janusx620127.jpg Uploaded with Im...
