Re: Outlaw ll

Such a cool and unique build! I cringed when I saw the first video of the speed test. Glad it stayed on its tires! 8) I remember seeing someone from RCCaraction building nitro crawler type truck that was pretty cool as well. Hard to tell in your pictures, but are you running power to the front axle ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I finished up the body on my Pro-2. I am almost certain this is the first RC vehicle I have completed aesthetically before finishing mechanically. :( Thank you USPS! The USPS phrase "Moving Through Network In Transit, Arriving On Time" is the biggest joke, and really means they have no id...

Re: What's your favorite & least favorite steps when building a new kit?

Favorite: Opening the box open for the first time is like being a kid in a candy store! Least favorite: Definitely painting and prepping the body. Lexan can be intimidating cutting out the body especially in those tight corners where the big scissors were not meant to be. I spend a l...

Re: Steve's 3d prints

@ SFC K what percentage were you trying to shrink it down to? Let me know and I will try it at that size with the profile I use on smaller parts and I'll see if it comes out smooth or not. Thanks! I sized it down to 30%. I plan on giving it another try this weekend when I have more time to monitor ...

Re: Steve's 3d prints

If you are losing details you might be using too big of a layer height for a small detail piece. The default "super/dynamic" (can't recall which they call it) layer height in Cura is .12 but I usually enter my own setting of .08 layer height when I do something like a small figure's head....

Re: Steve's 3d prints

I am using Ultimaker Acura. I should have mentioned this before. My problem is the % changed when reducing the size. I have tried sharing the reduction to all three ratios x,y,z and I get the dimensions in mmmor what it should be the size when printed. I only tried a couple prints this method, and t...

Re: Steve's 3d prints

You seem to have a lot of good luck with your prints! I was trying to scale down a Tank Girl head this past weekend and just can’t get the right size. Trying to scale it to size for a 6-7” figure for a driver in 1/10 scale trail truck.

Have you had any luck with resizing?

Re: Finally getting around to building a clod

All of clear gear case covers that I made, I just used a washer and nut. In the grand scheme of things, you are not really going to notice them anyways. :D Biggest thing at a quick glance is that the gear mesh is good.

Awesome build Jeff! Love the wheel inserts as well and will keep an eye out for them.
