Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

I can relate! It's one of the reasons why I enjoy sleeping into the afternoon. The less I'm awake during the day, the less I have to put up with. Hey, it works.

Re: Any tips on reducing a collection

I really need to reduce what I have as well. I came to the realization several years ago that I'm never going to finish the majority of projects I have. It's due to many factors such as a lack of time, money, desire, ambition, and health all play a part. It also affects everything else in my life, n...

Re: Currently Watching

I watched Appleseed (1988 anime) last night for the first time on a TV, and especially enjoyed it. I've seen it through the computer several times over the last decade or so but that really didn't do it justice comparatively.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Yeah, unfortunately a lot of the old motors were the same on the outside with only the armatures changing. The only way to identify the specs in those cases is to take them apart to inspect the armature. I wouldn't do that on nice motors though as you risk marring them. We have an extensive guide th...

Re: Tamiya King Cab/Tyco Bandit Radio Control Car Action Magazine Tribute!

That really is a great job and collection! :o You can tell how much love and attention went into doing it all.

I bought a copy of that 'More Radio Control Action Cars' book during a book fair at my school. I'm thinking very early '90s...

It's worth what someone's willing to pay. :) Put it up for sale at what you're comfortable with, and go from there.

The guy traded you both Clods for your TRX4 or just the JPS one?

You don't know the significance of what you have there? Obviously the person you traded with didn't as they just gave away their house for a tent.

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....

I just got a similar email to when they were first released stating they were in stock again, and one was being held for me for the next 2 days. Found it kind of weird. Unfortunately I no longer have the funds like I potentially did the first time around.

Re: MRP Drag'n Master Ad

I remember it all because I was there! :D I was a major fan, and my parents would bring me to the monster truck and pulling shows frequently in the '80s to early '90s. I had the magazines, posters, toys, video games, VHS videos, etc... There was even a cartoon called Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines....

Re: MRP Drag'n Master Ad

I see you read my post on the Krazy 8 thread. :) The concept of the Drag'n Master was super cool as it was the first of its kind, and inspired by the 1:1 Warlord puller of the time. Unfortunately, it was more of a novelty than a competitive puller. It used High Roller rear tires/wheels, and the fron...
