Re: Hirobo Rockn City - rhyming slang or refurb.

Body doesn't suit the buggy. Too modern IMO.

Re: Hirobo Zerda: from wreck to runner

I saw that rig on ebay. Tempted on the price but clearly looked like too much work and i think it looked like 2wd only (?).

Re: Tamiya Top Force build in 2022

Ball bearings a must but I would never use loctite around any bearings as even a small amount will risk seizing them. I’d just leave it alone as is - especially as your build will sit on the shelf.

Re: Thundershot or Thunder Dragon best mods or adjustments

1. Thickest oil as possible in front. I run on high grip. 2. Cvd in front. Tamiya / Yeah racing df-02/df-03 fit 3. Front suspension arm bracket. You can find 3D printed versions. I have a few alloy ones from Full Option (looks for David Beeby on FB). Parma also did a version back in the day. 4. Repl...

Re: Marui Samurai 4WD - Another SilverTriple's journey...

Looks good, but don't be surprised you find more cracks in the chassis and rear gearbox. Just how Marui plastics are... Check the condition of the front diff...you can sometimes find small micro cracks as the screwholes for the diff halves are unusually close to the diff casing. Shouldn't be a big p...

Re: Marui Samurai 4WD - Another SilverTriple's journey...

The rear gearbox is a weak point of these great looking buggies. A complex piece. Look carefully for any cracks and significant wear - especially the underside.

Re: Yokomo MX-4 SSG Special

Dual,

Lovely build photos and I like the high quality hop ups you've used - many hard to find indeed.

Would be a shame not to give a gentle run once finished.

stickboy007 wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:31 pm Oh, this is pretty. I want to get another YZ10 as a runner, but my fear is that after I clean/fix it, I won't want to run it, and then I'll get another one, and another one, and the cycle repeats forever... ;)
That's exactly what happened you Yokomo loverboi.

Re: Found my old 834b

Survivor!

My view would be to restore and run it.

It could potentially be a lengthy and costly job but given you've a history to go with it, I'd think it would bring back good memories running it again!

However, If you shelf it, leave it as is.
