Mine has a body that I think is "time period correct" but I do not know what body exactly.

A bunch of guys has got their Optima delivered to their Swedish address already. I've not decided about ordering yet but I will definitely buy some spare parts that also fits Optima Mid.

been checkin out Lipo the past few days. I may go that route considering the NiMH i saw was comparable in price anyway. What discharge Rate (would a 35C be too much for a mid to handle? Does not really work that way. The motor draws current from the battery. You can have too low C-rating but never ...

I agree, the glass fiber parts are probably handmade. At least the top deck. Those front arms may be RPM arms for RC10T? Rear arms looks stock.

Just a few days ago, somebody posted some scans of the international race where Optimas took 8 of the top 10 spots...the scans were a bit small and not easy to read, but the article showed how well the Optima performed back in '85...or was it '86? I can't for the life of me find that post again! :x...
