Re: AE new products question

I could see them changing the gearbox ratios to suit the retarded amount of power that the new brushless systems pump out. And because the batteries are lighter with the Lipos you kinda need to run Lead weights in certain places to get the correct feel in the traction department. I'm running almost ...

Re: Looking for Advice on Racing a Vintage RC10

I race an RC10 graphite in a vintage class and I have a few suggestions for you. I was able to find a few sets of 2.2 rims that fit the 1/4 inch rear axels I think they are AE 6808...tough to find but perfect with the old stock axels. or you can mod the rear as suggested above. That takes care of th...

1) I think they all have some play in them but you're right its better for the 32P than the 48P. I have found that the Robinson 56 tooth in the 32P were the best gear for the 6 gear that i've run. I think if the diff starts to slip it will quickly wear out the center and the ball holes and the entir...

I've read 1.85 but it could have just been rounded up for math simplicity... But anyways I've been a fan of the 6 gear forever and I think that when I switch to Lipos very shortly the added weight will be wickd for rear traction...With Nimh i do feel the rear is too heavy and jumps and tight turns a...

The car in the vid has: 16 turn double kyosho mega mo...

The Old RC10 ran good today at Sid's Raceway ( http://www.sidsraceway.com )...Qualified 16th out of about 40 in 2wd open. There were 4 mains of 10 drivers in each... Made the B main but the rain came before we could run the race so i was classified on my 3 qualifier heats. I was pretty happy with th...

I'd say your timing was set too high if you dont have any marks on the can and you were just guessing at it. You can try searching the internet on how to time your motors correctly, I've seen good sites but i dont have the links anymore. just rotate the endbell a few mm at a time till you dont get t...
